One week down for K-2 summer school at North Elementary. We are lucky we get to enjoy their garden and learn about the lifecycle of a monarch butterfly with our very own caterpillars. We also get to learn about the lifecycle of a chicken and hatch our very own chicks. Lots of great learning happening in summer school!

Thank you to our Northwest Kansas EMTs for coming to West and sharing what your day to day is like. The kids enjoyed seeing the inside of the ambulance and loved the popsicle treats!

Happy Last Day of School!!! ☀️ What a year these 1st graders have had...we are PROUD of them all!!!

A Day at the Fair!! First grade had their A Day at the Fair project based learning day. They had to stick to a budget of $100. We have learned to count with 10's and 1's this year. They used West Bucks and their math skills to spend their time riding the train, eating popcorn, cotton candy and sno-cones and playing different games. ✨ Thank you to all the volunteers and community members who help make this a fun day for our firsties!!! ✨

T day is for tacos!!! A huge thank you to Los Tacos Gordos for supplying all the tacos for our kindergartners. They were delicious!

Second Grade students in Mrs. Smith's class worked together to design and create a town together! They were given a budget and had to figure out what to put in their town within their budget. They all did an amazing job!

Parent Night May 18th

It was a beautiful day at Sederstrom farm for our annual farm day! The kids got to learn about different farm animals and all the equipment. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this possible for our students!

This week we celebrate all of our amazing teachers! West Site Council is proving a lunch for them today as well as snacks throughout the week!
