Our 6th graders attended 6th grade day at Northwest Tech today. It was a great experience to help our students to learn more about future career opportunities.

5th grade students are in the process of reading the book “Refugee” by Alan Gratz. It is an amazing story of 3 different children who have to leave their homes and escape their countries for safety. It puts into perspective what refugees have had to go through throughout history and are still going through today.
This morning, our students were very lucky to have the opportunity to Zoom with a real refugee who had to escape from her home country of Syria. What an engaging and eye-opening experience for all!

WELCOME BACK to SCHOOL! Remember doors open at 7:20 am on Thursday 8/19. Please do not drop off students before then, as we do not want large groups of students gathering out front of the building. Please remember the pick up areas after school, a photo has been attached.

5th grade students got to launch their re-designed bottle rockets yesterday! The students had so much fun learning about the scientific method, and they enjoyed having other classes watch and cheer them on! Thank you to Mr. Marintzer for being in charge of this project!
