Farm Bureau Pumpkin STEM Project with 3rd Grade 🎃 Our 3rd grade students enjoyed a wonderful hands-on learning experience this week with the help of Farm Bureau. Megan Thomas with Sherman County Farm Bureau visited our school to lead a Pumpkin STEM project that combined science, math, and literacy in a fun and meaningful way. Students listened to the story Pumpkin Jack and learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin. Together, we even created our own “Jack,” which we placed in a container to observe throughout the year as it changes and decomposes. To connect science and math, students examined their pumpkins closely—counting the ridges to estimate how many seeds might be inside. It was an engaging activity that encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork. A big thank you to Farm Bureau for providing this enriching learning opportunity for our students! 🍂🎃

6th graders dove into the Bohr Atom Structure, learning how to identify elements by exploring the top 20 on the periodic table. They randomly selected an element and decorated a cookie to represent its atomic structure. At the end of class, groups who accurately represented their element, earned the right to enjoy their delicious "Atomic Cookie!"

RE: State Assessment Results Update
We were a little too eager to share information from the 2025 Spring KAP Summative Assessments, and announced that results were ready to view before all was completed on the state testing platform's end. As a result, not all students have the newest reports available yet. We will send a new alert once we have confirmation that all reports are posted.

Parents we would like to have you pick your students up at the following locations: The 3rd grade will be picked up on the West of the building on Walnut street. The 4th grade will be picked up on the North side of the building on 2nd street. The 5th grade will be picked up on the East side of the building on Arcade street. The 6th grade will be picked up on the South side of the building on 4th street. If you have multiple students in our building, the students should be picked up where your oldest student would be picked up. An example would be, if you have a 3rd and a 5th grader, you would pick the students up on the East side where the 5th grader would be picked up. Pick-up
