As we head into pre-enrollment for GJSH classes, here is how the updated weighted grades FOR CLASS RANK will look for the Val and Sal for graduation, STARTING WITH THE CLASS OF 2028 (aka, the newest KSDE graduation requirements). This is not a weighted GPA for everyone; it's simply a way to help rank those at the top of the class. This was approved last summer by the BOE, but we wanted to put it on everyone's radar again as students start the enrollment process. GJSHS Art II students have been learning about creating chibi characters. A chibi character is a Japanese term for a stylized character, characterized by a tiny body, oversized head, and exaggerated, cute features. Our students created their own comic book strips based on their characters. It’s a great way to have cross-curricular partnerships with ELA and art!
