🚨 New school record!!! Caden Schick 141’6” javelin 8th grade boys! That’s a school record broken in every JH and HS meet this year so far!
Both our High School large group choir and our large group band traveled to Oakley this morning to compete in the KSHSAA large group festival. Both groups performed well and earned a 1 rating. Congratulations Mr. Berls, Mr. Whisenant, and all of the students who have worked so hard in our fine arts programs this year!
Yesterday our livestock judging teams competed at the Way Out West Livestock Judging Contest located at Larson Ranch! Our Greenhand team brought home 2nd place with an outstanding performance by Hesston Henry (High Individual), Cannon Owens (2nd), and Hudson Short (6th). Our Senior team also earned 2nd place, led by Kaelyn Schilling as High Overall Individual, along with Sienna Baehler placing 9th and Ethan Horinek!

ICYMI, Golf at Goodland today went great. Senior Braylon Mull won the tournament with a 73, Senior Treighton Hoss placed 7th with an 84, and Senior Trent Sheldon placed 11th with an 86. The team took first with a 336. It was a great day to be a Cowboy Golfer!

On Monday, the high school traveled to Hays to work with the concert and jazz bands and the FHSU music faculty. They observed several colleges classes and received a clinic on their upcoming contest music! What a great opportunity for our kids!
Due to a lack of numbers for both Goodland and one of our opponents, the boys tennis tournament scheduled for April 21st here in Goodland has been cancelled. Instead, Goodland will travel to Colby and take part in their JV tournament.
We will continue to use the best of Q4 OR S2 grades for eligibility for this week. NEXT WEEK (4/20-24) it will be solely based off of Semester 2 grades. A reminder that students must be eligible by grade pull Monday morning to attend Prom activities on Saturday. Let's have a great week!
