Four of our GHS band students (Brylie Ganoung, Layla Johnston, Taylor Sanderson, and Sienna Baehler) auditioned and were selected to attend the NWKMEA District Honor Band this year! They competed against hundreds of students in Northwest Kansas, and will rehearse and perform a concert this Saturday, December 6th at FHSU!

High School Basketball Sports Drink Scrimmage today. Girls start at 5 PM, and Boys begin at 6:30 PM.
Our high school students had the opportunity to show off some of their math skills at the Math Relays competition at Fort Hays State University on November 13th. This is a day where students from all over Kansas take different math tests all morning. Students compete against other students in their grade level – sitting in a room with over 500 students taking a math test can be pretty intimidating! ALL of our students performed well and we had several students place in the top 10! Miss Vignery, the math department, and GHS are looking forward to our future at Math Relays!!!!! Congratulations to Claire Martin on auditioning for and being selected for the John Philip Sousa All-State Middle Level Honor Band! Claire was selected out of hundreds of students after a highly competitive audition process. She will perform with 100 of the best middle-level band students from across the state with a nationally-renowned conductor in Lawrence on January 24th, 2026!
