GJSHS Art II students have been learning about creating chibi characters. A chibi character is a Japanese term for a stylized character, characterized by a tiny body, oversized head, and exaggerated, cute features. Our students created their own comic book strips based on their characters. It’s a great way to have cross-curricular partnerships with ELA and art!

Our traveling Cowboy Culture trophy has been on quite the adventure over December and January! It’s made its way through weights, math, the custodian’s area, the kitchen, and even the library. Thanks to all the teams and spaces that have hosted it along the way and helped keep the tradition fun and visible.

Science Olypamid is heading back to State! 1st place team at Hays Regional. This will mark the 28th year in a row GHS will be competing at State!
