It’s been a busy week at West at our summer learning program. These second graders are busy planting seeds to be transplanted into the garden at North. Each grade also planted and is caring for a planter of flowers.

Second graders have been working hard to complete a Tiny House Project! Students learned about tiny houses, then had to make a blueprint to figure out what could fit in their houses. Next, they were able to build a miniature version tiny house!

West Elementary is full of laughs on April Fools Day! In Mrs.Roeder’s class they had an Easter egg hunt with no eggs and learned all about how marshmallows grow on a farm. Mrs. Mason made ā€œbrown E’sā€ to give to her class. She made sure to give them a real one after she fooled them. It was an exciting day down in the kindergarten corner!

Mrs. Hollern’s class played Floor is Lava!! Such a fun way to practice math facts šŸ˜„ The class works together to create and solve math facts. Sums on the floor are taken away once students move...last person standing WINS!
