Congratulations to 2025 graduate Autumn Wynn on earning her Pre-Professional Certification in Baking Science Fundamentals recognized by The American Association of Family, and Consumer Sciences and the Family and Consumer Sciences Credentialing Center! Dare to Dream was the theme of last year's FCCLA National Leadership Conference where Autumn completed her exam. She dreams of owning her own bakery, and is now one step closer to making that dream a reality! We are so incredibly proud of you Autumn!

We wanted to thank this wonderful group of student photographers who helped capture the Career Showcase event for the yearbook and social media yesterday. What has quickly become the "norm" surrounding events in the Max Jones, we appreciate the effort by these ladies to help share the great things GJSH students are doing!

Today our freshman are attending. The western Kansas career showcase held here in our own Max Jones. More than 20 businesses and colleges from the area are talking with our students about continuing their education, future careers here in NW Kansas, and leadership!

Earlier this month, FHSU Professors & Band Directors Dr. Peter Lillpopp, Dr. Luke Helker, and Dr. Aunna Marzen came to Goodland to present a clinic and give their expert feedback to all of our bands in preparation for their upcoming performances. Our 8th grade band in particular had a great time!

This week 7th grade art students learned about cartography and made some really epic fantasy maps!

The GJHS Family and Consumer Sciences class, together with King Arthur Flour’s “Bake for good program", donated hot rolls to be served at Hope’s Place during their free meal this week. King Arthur Flour’s program has three goals: learn, bake, and share. Students learn the math and science of making bread from scratch!

"You're either WIFF us or against us!" -7th grade PE trash talk today 🤣 60 years later, we are still so grateful for the Goodland community making a choice to build this amazing facility, even if wiffle ball wasn't never in the cards back then!

Thursday: JH wrestling tournament scheduled at Hitchcock County has been moved from Trenton to Culbertson. Start time will remain at 12:00 Mountain Time Start.
