Recently, Ron Sutton, the Owner/CEO of ACCUSPLIT, INC, and a 1965 GHS graduate, donated Accusplit School Classroom/PE Kits to our Goodland Jr Sr High and Elementary PE teachers. Four of the five are pictured with the timers they received.
ACCUSPLIT invented the digital stopwatch in 1972 and W Ron Sutton invented the Memory Stopwatch in 1978. Ron said in his mind when he invented it, it was to solve the problem of "my not getting credit for my fastest mile times". He said to get his time recognized, he had to have 3 official stopwatches timing him, and in those days, only the first three finishers had stopwatches on them. With his Memory Stopwatch invention and Rapid Split ACCUSPLIT Operating System (AOS), 3 memory stopwatches would catch 16 finishers in a race, and now 500. "So, when Elliott beat my school record, he hadn't beaten my fastest time, just the fastest official time."

Varsity tennis wins Cowgirl Invitational! Addie Owens 1st, Phoebe Nachtigall/Maddy Murray 2nd, Kiara Linn/ Ashlyn Franz 4th, Halle Bhend 5th This marks the first overall team varsity win under Coach Ali Hollern since bringing tennis back in 2019.
