Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the Sherman County Early Childhood Center Family! We’re going to have a great year! We’ve been planning and preparing with you and your preschooler in mind. As you may have noticed, we have a big construction project going on here at our building! We’re getting several great upgrades like: new Heating and Air in each room, new mulch on the playground, and a new paint job to name a few. With those upgrades, we’ve hit a snag or two with supplies and such. In light of that, we’ve decided that it is best to push the start of SCECC back to the Tuesday after Labor Day, September 6th. Those extra days will allow us to make this place sparkle! We will be inviting you to Open House on Thursday, September 1st from 4:30-6:00pm so you can tour the school, see your classroom and look at the construction! You won’t want to miss it!
While you’re waiting on us, here are a couple of things to do:
If your child doesn’t have a current physical or immunizations, you will need to get that completed before school begins. You can call Sherman Co. Health Dept. 785.890.4888, Goodland Family Health Center 785.890.6075 or your provider of choice. They’d be happy to help you!
- If you haven’t already done so, please fill out this link for free and reduced lunches. We will be paying for meals this year, and we will get those prices out to you as soon as we can. Here’s the online link https://schoolmealsapp.ksde.org/Home/welcome/D0352 If you have other student’s in the district, you only have to fill it out one time.
We’re looking forward to seeing you at Open House! Let your kiddo know that we’re excited to see them, we just need a few more days to get ready!
