Mr. Whisnant graduated from Socastee high school in Myrtle Beach SC. He went to Colby Community College and received his associate’s degree. He then attended Fort Hays State University where he received his bachelors in secondary education and history. Mr. Whisnant is in his sixth year teaching at GHS. He has also served as assistant wrestling coach for six years, and assistant jr. high football coach for the seventh grade. Mr. Whisnant also has been the STUCO sponsor for three years.

Castle: Any student with an incomplete assignment, a failed quiz or test will be assigned to CASTLE.

Semester incentive: Any American History student who pass their state history assessments will be exempt from the final exam.
