Our mission:
"DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Our guiding principles explain how we fulfill our mission by addressing what we do and the outcomes we expect. DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community and promoting competition. Our student members leverage their DECA experience to become academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders." - From deca.org

Good job at state! Our DECA chapter had one event qualify for nationals in April at Orlando, Florida. Jake Terry, Mikial Freeman, and Ryan Fisher qualified their Entrepreneurship Promotion Project at state and will be attending ICDC.

Fall Career Development Conference October 6th-7th 2010 |
Held in Rock Springs, Fall Career Development Conference (FCDC) is about explaining DECA to new members and teaching current members about different events. |

State Career Development Conference March 6th-8th, 2011 |
State Career Development Conference (SCDC) is held in Overland Park every March. Members compete against other chapter members from across the state. It is the last step before international DECA. |

International Career Development Conference April 28th - May 4th, 2011 |
The final stop in competitive DECA events, ICDDC is held in Orlando, Florida this year. DECA members will compete against other members from across the country and around the world in their events. |
