Rules
- Please make sure you have registered and paid your alumni dues of $60.00, the entry fee of $50.00 for the golf tournament, and an optional golf cart rental fee of $12.00 per person. Golfers will receive a golf favor.
- Check in for morning session is 6:30 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. Morning sessions will have a shotgun tee-off at 7:30 a.m. Check in for the afternoon is 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. and will have a shotgun tee-off at 1:00 p.m. or as soon as possible after the morning session.
- All USGA rules are in effect except where local rules apply. Women use the red tee markers both nines. Men use the white tee markers both nines. Play the ball up in the fairway and down in the rough. Free relief from staked trees. Drop within one club length of the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.
- Free relief from cart paths. Drop within one club length of the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole. Free relief from the culvert areas on 1 & 2. Free relief from the pump area on 5 & 9.
- Hazards on 8, 12, 13, 15 & 16 - Your options are:
- Under no penalty, you may try to play the ball, but you cannot ground your club.
- Under penalty of one stroke, you may play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original was last played. If it was on the tee box, it may be re-teed.
- Under penalty of one stroke, you may drop the ball behind the hazard, keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin of the hazard directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind the hazard the ball may be dropped.
- On #8, if your first and second shot go in the water, you may carry across and you will be hitting 6.
Flight Prizes
There will be flights for both men and women. You will be flighted by age. There will be three flights for women paying 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each flight. There will be five flights for men paying 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in each flight.
Ties will be settled by counting back from hole 18.
Those who place in each flight will receive their check from the alumni association in the mail. Make sure we have your current mailing address.
Other
Carts may be driven in the fairway. Please try to use the 90-degree rule where possible. Try to keep the carts far enough away from the greens. Please, DON'T DRIVE IN THE ROUGH!
Please remember that safety is a concern for all golfers. Please exercise golf etiquette in all areas. In case of inclement weather, if lightning occurs, please discontinue play and return to the clubhouse until the weather clears.
