  • Pre-Enrollment for 2016-2017 Jr High & High School

Pre-enrollment for Junior High and High School.  We are beginning pre-enrollment for the 2106-17 school year.  Mrs. Farris and Mrs. Linn are meeting with each grade during AP’s  and going over Goodland High School requirements, NCAA, Board of Regents qualifications and Seniors Options at NWKTC.  Mrs. Farris and Mrs. Linin have requested that all students develop their enrollment form with the help of a parent or parents to ensure that everyone has a part in process.  We will also offer the presentation online to students as well for parents to help them better understand what direction the student is pursing after high school.

Click here to look at the requirements for next school year. If you have any questions please contact Nancy Farris or Brenda Linin at the GJSHS 785-890-2397.

  • K.I.D.S Matching Grant

The K.I.D.S. Matching Grant Program helps Kansas families with incomes less than 200% of the federal poverty level save for their children’s post-secondary education. Most of our students who qualify for free or reduced school lunches will also qualify for this incentive. This year the state of Kansas will match up to $600 in contributions made to each student’s Learning Quest account as part of the program. This is in addition to the tax advantages and other benefits available to all families who use the Learning Quest 529 Education Savings Program to prepare for the expense of continuing their students’ education after high school. The matching grant, like all contributions to a 529 account, can be used for qualified expenses like tuition, books, and room and board for students who are enrolled at least half-time at any accredited university, community college or technical college. Each year our office funds up to 1,200 participants with applications being processed on a first come, first served basis. More information about the program can be found at www.KansasStateTreasurer.com/KIDS.

  • iPads, laptops, desktops for sale

We will be selling almost all of our technology (laptops, ipads, desktops) this spring as we get ready to turn in all of our devices to begin a new lease. Apple will tell us what they will give us for all of our devices and we will offer those to the public here first at the floor price. We haven't set a date yet as we are still working out the details, but I have several people ask me about it so I thought I would get the word out to everyone. Our sale will probably happen sometime late May to early June.  We will send out more information once we set the date. Most of the devices are 3-4 years old. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mr. Biermann at 785-890-2397.
