Mustang Girls Get 2nd at GWAC Trounament and Play Burlington

The GWAC Jr. High Tournament was played in Hugoton on Saturday December 17, 2011. The school was represented by both 7th and 8th grade girls. The 8th grade played the first game against Hugoton. Goodland won, 26-24. Faith Biermann brought the team out of a tie with her free throws with only a few seconds left to spare. Goodland 8th grade lost the Second game against Colby, 13-26. Overall, the 8th grade team finished second.
The 7th grade’s first game was against Colby and they ended with a win.
The 7th grade then lost against Hugoton. The 7th grade took second.
Then on January 5, 2012, Goodland went on the road to Burlington. The 8th grade B team won, 27-22, and the 8th grade A team won, 43-17. The 7th grade A & B teams won by a large margin. Everyone played their hardest. The Lady Mustangs were led to victory with lots of steals, lay-ups, assists, passes, and teamwork. Way to end the season at Burlington!!!!!
