KSHSAA Game Day Spirit Showcase Competition

On November 18th, GHS cheerleaders went to Topeka for the KSHSAA Game Day Spirit Showcase Competition. The Game Day competition is made up of three events. Each team is expected to perform a fight song, a band dance and lead the crowd. This competition is what high school cheerleading is all about: "how well can you entertain and lead a crowd?!"

After preliminaries, the top 20 teams advance to the finals, and then a champion is crowned in each division. GHS Cheer was very lucky to get into this competition as there are so many teams across the state on a wait list. Even though they did not advance into the finals, GHS cheer was in the top 10 for our 4A division!! Way to go girls!! Everyone at USD 352 is proud of you!
