American Red Cross Bloodmobile

Did you know that up to 20% of the total blood collections by the American Red Cross come from young people. Every 2 seconds, someone, somewhere needs a blood transfusion. GHS and the Youth Volunteers for the American Red Cross are hosting the next bloodmobile here in the high school gym on Thursday, April 20th , 2017 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Adults who are 17 and older can donate. Students who are 16 years old will need a parent permission form signed and turn it in to the person in charge that day. You can print the form online or get one from Miss Elliott. You must be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. The height and weight restrictions are posted on Miss Elliott’s door. Visit www.redcrossblood.org for more information.

If you want to make an appointment, sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org or sign up with Miss Elliott. Bring a photo ID that day and a list of any medications you are on. Our goal is 101 pints that day!
